ICYMI: Sanford Police Make Child Pornography Arrest

For Immediate Release
July 16, 2025

On December 17, 2024, Sanford Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Investigator received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cyber Tipline Report, regarding child pornography being uploaded to an online messenger service called Media Lab / Kik Messenger. During the investigation it was determined that the location of the upload was a residence at 8105 Stonebrook Dr. in Sanford, which was occupied by Paez Lezama.

On June 6, 2025, Sanford Police Investigators and members of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Cybercrimes Task Force executed a search warrant at 8105 Stonebrook Dr. A subsequent forensic analysis of Paez Lezama’s cell phone found approximately 900 images related to child pornography. This investigation confirmed that the images were images of child pornography which Paez Lezama obtained from the internet.

As a result of the investigation, Sanford Police Investigators issued a warrant for Paez Lezama’s arrest for the following charges:
  • Obscene Material-Possess Poss Control View Depiction Child Pornography (44 Counts)
  • Obscene Material-Possess Possess ten or more Child Porn Image F3 Offense

The second offense listed signifies that at least ten images of child pornography located on Paez Lezama’s phone were egregious enough to meet Florida State Statute requirements for prosecution at the state level.

On July 15, 2025, Paez Lezama was arrested by Sanford Police Officers and booked on the charges listed above at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this crime, to please contact the Sanford Police Department or Crimeline at 800 423-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimeline.org.
